Lenders: the artists.
Commissioned by the Tate Modern Gallery
Blending their graphic wanderings, the three artists of the collective Qubo Gas create luxurious colourful landscapes in felt tip and watercolour on paper. In their collages, the vegetal proliferation seems to develop in three dimensions and crosses the surface of the drawing. In response to a commission in 2007 from the Tate Modern for its collection of Net Art, they made Watercouleur Park, on a database of drawings presented in several layers. The animation, navigation and composition of the landscape are random. In 2010, Paper Moon, another evolving work by Qubo Gas, joined the collections of the LaM.
