Installation
TRAME ("screen" "weave") is an installation -based, interactive, multidisciplinary and multimedia project, which addresses the connections between the textile sector and contemporary technologies as to the question of the screen as interface and support. This installation foregrounds the screen as a dual space, one physical (the materiality of the screen as broadcasting platform and as a tangible interface), and the other virtual, concerned with visual and sound data. The installation takes the form of an embroidered interactive textile screen, manipulated by the viewer so as to activate the emission of sounds and videos produced by transparency on a second screen. the embroidered complex resembles a graphic score where the notational system is shared by music and dance; in consequence the embroidery becomes an active object of memory..
