“See. We all go towards the same places, the sacred ones but the common also. The common places. Science. Temples. Us. All of us, how many, we will be there, in one year of time, we can go, it will always be there. It will exist. But the rocks? What about the rocks? I liked them.”

Extract from the interview with Andrey:

“We are air, not earth.” Alexander survived. He always has. He finally sends a letter recounting the story of the community of Immortals founded in the 1990s on the Greek island of Gavdos. The narrative premise of the film revolves around the story of the founders of a community of survivors of the Chernobyl nuclear disaster who settled on the island of Gavdos, the island of Calypso. Bound together by their traumatic experiences, mysticism, philosophy and environmental activism, they believe they are on the verge of finding the secret of immortality, having recovered from the effects of radiation.
