Between Them, Two Mountains and Two Seas uses dream to evoke separation and emigration from Tunisia. Comprising a three-channel video projection and a model of an unfinished place, the installation examines the effects of alienation and the tearing apart of families caused by departure.

Two videos, projected onto the ceiling, show the reconstruction of dreamlike spaces haunted by absent people. The dreams were dreamt by the women in my family – my mother, my grandmother and my aunts. In a third video, projected in miniature onto the concrete model, sleepers – my cousins – explore the walls of an unfinished city.
